* they are rewardes and recognised for the time they put into their own learning;
* parents can find out about positive accredited activities within the local community;
* increased self-confidence and self-esteem amongst the children participating;
* lots of fun.
How it operates
There are six categories; Active, Creative, Academic, Nature, Culture and Service.
Childen have an individual Passport and this is signed when a child undertakes an activity for a minimum of 5 hours. Once a child has completed an activity he or she is presented with a certificate. To successfully gain a BRONZE CERTIFICATE children must complete 3 different activities from at least 2 different categories. FIVE must be completed for SILVER and SEVEN for GOLD.

Dell Primary School are members of the Suffolk Children's University. This is a photograph of the first group to achieve certificates presented in assembly on Friday February 22nd. Some have already gained 2 or even 3 certificates and will be receiving their bronze certificates early next term. A visitor will come from Ipswich to present them. We are the first primary school in this area to be taking an active part in the Suffolk Children's University.
